I need help creating a scavenger hunt for my book?

So my book is basically about teens who go on this scavenger hunt across California. The list is basically a bunch of riddles that I'm going to create, but I'm having trouble thinking of places and items for the list. So far I have taking a picture of somebody eating and orange in a bath tub(apparently, this is illegal in California haha) and buying a lottery ticket from the corner store that's produced the largest number of winning tickets in the state. I've been trying to base these items on interesting facts, monuments, and other things like that, but I can't seem to figure enough out. Any ideas at all? Anything that has to do with this will help at this point :)
